The purpose of this assignment is to help you practice the following skills that are essential to your success in this course:
Explain how leadership has been defined and conceptualized over time by various scholars.
Identify leadership theories and explain how they have evolved over time.
Define leadership attributes and competencies.
Apply the 5 leader practices from The Leadership Challenge to a leadership case.
Categorize transformational and transactional leadership theories and apply them to a leadership case.
Develop self-awareness through a transformational and transactional leadership self-assessment.
This paper should be a minimum of 5 full single-spaced pages in length (more pages are fine if desired).
The paper must have a Part 1 and 2, each with its own section and own heading:
Part 1: Describe how the concepts from the book and other course materials and lectures/discussions changed your thinking/approach/philosophy as a leader, and/or solidified some of your prior approaches to leadership.
Part 2:
Discuss how you can apply the 5 practices and all other course materials covered to date in the course in the future in your leadership.
Summarize your leader action plan to accomplish your leadership goals specified in Part 1 (minimum of 2 pages).

They bring in and integrate a breadth of concepts from the readings, lectures, and other course content.
They demonstrate knowledge of the course content by effectively applying the concepts, not describing them.
